Drainage: Keep drainage openings and surrounding grades clear so water can move away from the playground and does not collect inside the bordered area.

Routine inspection: Inspect borders, stakes, rebar, connectors, joints, drainage openings, and surrounding surfacing regularly. Reset or replace loose, shifted, damaged, or exposed components promptly.

Layout planning: Mark the full playground perimeter before ordering. Confirm straight runs, corners, curves, entrances, accessible routes, ramps, gates, and transitions to surrounding surfaces.

Quantity calculation: Calculate the total perimeter and divide it by each border’s effective installed coverage. Include additional sections for corners, transitions, layout adjustments, and appropriate project overage.

Site preparation: Establish the finished border elevation, surfacing depth, drainage direction, and surrounding grade before anchoring the borders.

Anchoring: Install every supplied stake, rebar anchor, connector, or approved mounting component according to the current manufacturer instructions. Confirm that adjoining sections remain aligned and secure.

Accessibility: Coordinate border height, surfacing depth, ramps, and accessible entrances so the completed playground route meets the project’s accessibility requirements.

Shipping method: Playground borders may ship by parcel service, less-than-truckload freight, or full truckload depending on the material, dimensions, quantity, and delivery location.

Liftgate delivery: Liftgate service may be available for qualifying quantities when a loading dock or forklift is not available.

Large orders: Full-truckload orders may be more economical for larger quantities. A loading dock, forklift, flatbed delivery, or other unloading plan may be required depending on the shipment.

Receiving inspection: Count all pieces, bundles, pallets, stakes, anchors, and hardware before signing. Note visible shortages or damage on the delivery receipt and take photographs.

Storage: Store borders and installation hardware in a secure area until installation. Keep hardware organized by product and size.
