Weighted placement: The mat’s substantial weight helps it remain positioned during normal use when properly installed and maintained.

Routine inspection: Inspect the mat, edges, surrounding surfacing, placement area, and underlying grade regularly. Reset shifted mats and restore the surrounding loose-fill surfacing to its required depth.

Placement planning: Identify high-wear locations beneath swings, at slide exits, below climber entrances, along pathways, or wherever loose-fill surfacing is repeatedly displaced.

Site preparation: Level the placement area and restore the surrounding loose-fill material to the required installed depth before positioning the mat.

Positioning: Place the mat flat and stable with the beveled edges properly supported. Blend the surrounding loose-fill surfacing into the mat edges to create a smooth transition.

Ongoing maintenance: Inspect the mat position and surrounding surfacing regularly. Reposition the mat and redistribute loose-fill material when movement or displacement occurs.

Shipping method: Wear mats may ship by parcel service or freight depending on mat size, weight, quantity, and delivery location.

Freight access: Larger quantities may arrive palletized. Liftgate service may be available when a loading dock or forklift is not available.

Receiving inspection: Count all mats and inspect each shipment before signing. Note visible shortages or damage on the delivery receipt and take photographs.

Storage: Store mats flat in a secure location until installation. Keep sizes and colors organized by placement area.
