Commercial Playground Installation

Proper installation is an important part of a safe, long-lasting commercial playground.

Installation requirements vary by playground, site conditions, and mounting method. Always follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions for the specific equipment being installed.

In-Ground Mount

In-ground playground equipment uses posts or mounting components installed below grade and secured according to manufacturer requirements, typically with concrete.

This is one of the most common mounting methods for permanent commercial playground installations.

Surface Mount

Surface-mounted playground equipment is anchored to an appropriate concrete surface using manufacturer-specified mounting plates and hardware.

The existing surface must meet the requirements for the equipment being installed.

Stake Mount

Select commercial playground equipment may be designed for stake mounting.

Ground stakes are installed according to manufacturer instructions and should only be used with equipment specifically designed for this mounting method.

Planning for Installation

Before installation, consider the equipment footprint, required use zone, site access, ground conditions, drainage, safety surfacing, and any local project requirements.
