Commercial playground equipment is large, heavy, and typically delivered by freight rather than a parcel carrier such as UPS or FedEx.

Most commercial playgrounds arrive in an enclosed semi-trailer and are packed in a large wooden crate containing long and heavy components.

Receiving Your Playground

A loading dock with a forklift is the easiest way to receive your playground.

Without a loading dock, most enclosed-trailer shipments can be unloaded by hand. For hand unloading, plan on 2–4 capable adults, basic tools to open and break down the wooden crate, and enough time to remove the equipment piece-by-piece.

The customer is responsible for unloading. The freight driver does not unload the equipment. When unloading by hand, the entire shipment, including the original crate, packaging, and loose materials, must be removed from the trailer before it departs.

Freight Delivery Appointments

Freight delivery is different from UPS, FedEx, or typical curbside delivery.

Delivery is typically scheduled by appointment, but carrier communication and delivery windows can vary. Once carrier information is available, you may contact the freight company directly to coordinate or confirm delivery.

Inspect Your Shipment

Inspect the shipment for visible damage before the driver leaves.

Do not refuse the shipment. If there is visible damage, accept the delivery, clearly note the damage on the delivery paperwork before signing, and contact us as soon as possible.
