Proper tennis and pickleball court planning begins with the intended sport, court dimensions, post system, mounting method, surrounding clearances, and expected level of use.

Dedicated or Multi-Use Court

A dedicated court uses equipment designed for one sport and regulation net height. A multi-use court may require removable posts, adjustable post assemblies, shared court markings, or equipment that can convert between tennis and pickleball.

Post and Net Selection

Confirm the required post spacing, net type, net height, cable construction, tensioning system, center strap, anchors, and included mounting hardware. Tennis and pickleball configurations may use different nets and accessories even when they share a post series.

Mounting Options

PVC ground sleeves provide removable post installation. Hinged-lid sockets create a smoother surface when the posts are removed. Surface-mount systems may be available for qualifying existing concrete. Confirm concrete and anchoring requirements before selecting a surface-mounted configuration.

Court Preparation

Confirm the post locations, finished playing surface, drainage, concrete footings, anchor placement, fencing clearances, gates, and access for installation. Installation dimensions must follow the current manufacturer instructions for the selected system.

Storage and Maintenance

Plan a protected storage location for removable posts, nets, handles, straps, and accessories. Inspect nets, cables, winches, anchors, sleeves, and hardware regularly.
