Standard Pallet Delivery

Standard pallet orders commonly ship by LTL freight.

Liftgate service is available for eligible orders and locations. The liftgate allows the driver to lower the pallet to an accessible ground-level, curbside, or hard-surface delivery area.

Liftgate delivery does not include moving the pallet or individual bags into buildings, yards, playgrounds, landscape areas, or other installation locations.

Liftgate Limitations

Freight-carrier liftgates have pallet-size and weight limits.

Large orders that exceed those limits may need to be:

  • Divided into multiple LTL shipments

  • Delivered using a full-truckload option

  • Received at a location with appropriate unloading capabilities

Full-Truckload Savings

For sufficiently large orders, a full truckload may reduce the freight cost per pallet.

Flatbed or loading-dock delivery is generally considered when:

  • The order volume justifies a full truckload

  • The receiving location can accommodate a commercial truck

  • The customer has the appropriate unloading space or equipment

Flatbed Delivery

Flatbed delivery may be a practical full-truckload option when the receiving location has suitable ground-level unloading equipment and enough space to access the load.

The customer is responsible for providing the equipment and personnel needed to unload the shipment.

Loading-Dock Delivery

An enclosed semi-trailer may be used when the receiving location has a loading dock and appropriate equipment for moving pallets.

Loading-dock delivery can be an efficient option for qualifying full-truckload orders.

Delivery Location & Access

Confirm that the delivery address can safely accommodate a large commercial freight truck.

Additional coordination may be needed for:

  • Residential streets

  • Gated properties

  • Schools

  • Parks

  • Churches

  • Construction sites

  • Farms and agritourism properties

  • Campgrounds and RV resorts

  • Other limited-access locations

Delivery Scheduling

Freight delivery may be scheduled by appointment.

Carrier communication, appointment procedures, and delivery windows can vary. Once carrier and tracking information are available, the customer may contact the freight company directly to coordinate or confirm delivery.

Moving the Product

The customer is responsible for moving the delivered pallets or bags from the freight-delivery area to the final installation location.

Plan for the appropriate labor, pallet-moving equipment, vehicles, or other material-handling arrangements.
